I am sure that may very seasoned travelers have a better and more informed perspective on this: we have a flight returning from overseas later this summer, arriving in DC, where we clear immigration / customs. The connecting flight to a nearby is not until TWELVE hours later and there is still a drive even after that flight. Everyone could be home within two hours - would there be a huge problem to skip this last leg?
Yes, there are similar posts about this - but waiting overnight for the next flight would be tough . . . would it be a mitigating factor?
