Skyscanner, anyone have any experience with this site

I am searching for a decent fare from Virginia to Vegas on 07/17. This site has some fares less than Expedia and Kayak.

Has anyone used them? And if so was it a good experience? Issues?

It's a fare comparison site. You don't book with them. Make sure you book with the airline though and not one of the third party sites they suggest

Tons of posts on them....but be careful with who they refer to and who you are actually booking with. I use the website to search, that's it.

Great for displaying what's available on a given route/ date.

But as others have already said but worth reinforcing

Book direct with airline

You know then what you re getting , the price, and if any queries its easier to resolve later.

Just in case somehow you didn't get the message mmlacys, use skyscanner to check your routes/times and then book directly with the airline concerned.

Don't be fooled by some of the lower prices on some of the third party sites linked to. As others have found to their cost these prices are often incorrect / out of date / bait and switch.

And even when they are correct, not worth the significant risk of additional hassle and loss of money.

I love skyscanner. Great for finding the cheapest dates and which carriers do a route. I always book directly with the airline, though.
