We are planning to travel to Brisbane. What travel experiences has anyone got using BA to travel to Australia recently.
You know BA only fly to Sydney. Anything into Brisbane will be a codeshare with another carrier if it has a BA flight number.
Wanted to know if flying BA is better than Malaysia as that are the two options.
Better being completely subjective and dependent upon the cabin you're flying.
Business or Economy? First?
We flew last year BA Brisbane/London/Bris via Singapore. The Singapore to London leg was awful, antique plane, broken seat, crowded and just really "ordinary" especially as the Qantas craft from Brisbane was newly refurbished.
The return flight was completely different, newish interior, really nice crew and an inflight up-grade to PE. The Qantas flight was awful, there must have been 15 crying babies and even with noise cancelling headphones that many babies they all set each other off ... non stop.
So all in all a very typical economy experience apart from the upgrade.
The age of the plane will be determined by which flight you get.
For BA11/12 (the SIN service), they use the older 744s, for BA15/16 (the SYD service, stopping in SIN), they use the brand new 773s.
You can also fly LHR-HKG-BNE with the first leg on the new Airbus A380 and a code share with Cathay Pacific HKG-BNE.
I took BA to Sydney last month...I was happy with the experience, but it depends on which class you are flying....nothing can beat First..
