What website are you booking on?
Delta doesn't ask for a street address to book online.
They may ask that for a credit card payment so where are you looking at this??
IF you are trying to check in on line they may be asking for Advanced passenger info??
IF you are talking about your ESTA then just put "in transit" for that question.
BTW you DO know that even if you are only transiting through JFK you need an ESTA or a Visa.
I'm also confused by your wording. Subject line says "check in" while message says "booking".
Are you being asked during online check-in to give a street address where you are staying? Put the street address of the hotel you are staying at, if any. Otherwise, as Riff M suggests, either put "in transit" or find a street address for the airport.
In some cases, with online-checkin for international travel, you cannot successfully complete the process online - but can only complete the process at the airport. This may be because (1) the online checkin Website cannot handle all possibilities, or (2) someone wants to verify some detail (such as your passport) in order to complete the process.

This has been our experience with international travel on UA. They ask for our API at booking, and we make seat selections. Then, OLCI is usually not possible, and bag-check, plus presentation of full API takes place at the airport counter - we cannot even use our friends, the skycaps, for curbside baggage drop-off. We have to go inside. Then, we usually present all API at the gate, and often one more Passport check, right at boarding.
