Bangalore to NYC - via Dubai or Heathrow?

Hi - Which route is better and why? I've done the Heathrow route with BA; wanted to know if via Dubai with Emirates is a better choice. Also is a 1:45 hrs layover in Dubai long enough? Thanks.

I would suggest that you try Dubai.

1:45 hrs is plenty of time for the connection at Dubai.

Well, I fly Bangalore to NYC (and then onward home to Portland OR) and I do it a different way.

Jet Airways to Delhi, and connect to United non stop to Newark.

You need a 6pm ish flight from BLR, and the United flight arrives at EWR around 4.30am (so no discernible line at immigration). That UA flight is operated on an ex-Continental 777 and with sCO flight crew. It's actually a very pleasant flight, and for me at least at good timings with no stupid o'clock departure time.
