edreams probkem: please advise

Hello I'm posting on behalf of someone (not me) who booked with edreams this morning. She did not get confirmation and has not got a response. I've just read the forum reviews and told her the company's reputation. What do people do?

Will she get a ticket?

Her credit card company is not helping yet as they have no reason to believe its fraud.

She leaves in one week for a wedding. Ticket costs $1K

Does anyone have suggestions (other then web and forum review before spending money and always booking with the airline)

Type Edreams in the search box, and you'll see thousands of complaints. Edreams is a scam. Your friend should have researched first. The only safe way to go, is to book directly with the Airlines. I seriously doubt your friend will recover their money.

Wait for a day.

Check her spam / junk mail folder.

If an email saying ticket bought, then check with airline but hopefully no issues.

If no email, contact credit card company, check no payment made.

If no payment, Cancel card.

If payment, contact eDreams, get PNR, , if she cannot, contact credit card company, say fraud (since bought but no ticket, cancel card.

Then tell her to buy direct from airline and don't be such a doofus in future. Does she often just throw a thousand dollars at some company she never heard of and found on an internet search?

Sadly, *that* is not the obvious. You have to pay to talk to them on the phone.
