Hals Mariners Embarcation lunch.

Hi there,

We are doing our second Hal cruise and wanted to find out how to register for the Mariners lunch when you board the ship. We are doing the 20 day fall Panama Canal cruise on the Zuiderdam. Thanks,

You don't need to register. The lunch should be in the main dining room. Just ask the first crew member you see "Mariner's lunch?". They'll direct you.

There are always a few non Mariners who wander in, but that's better than having an unreliable checklist, and annoying anyone not on it.

If you're among the very first to board, you may have to wait for lunch service to begin.

I haven't cruised with HAL since the "cabins ready when you embark" trial started, so can't say if you'll be able to go straight to that balcony cabin of yours. :-)

As already posted by fannish you just show up at the dining room. But be aware that you might not get in if you are are your second cruise. I have heard (although I can't confirm it) that if they have a large number of Mariners on the ship, they may limit access to those at higher Mariner levels.
