we are booked on the Royal Princess for a med crusie in October 2013, then a transatlantic crossing from Madeira in mid October anyone have suggestion of what weather to expect on the crossing

October in the Med can be stormy but not for days on end.Take seasickness precautionary meds. We always take Stugeron available otc from Superdrug/Boots.Works for us even in a Force 10 in Bay of Biscay and last week in a Force 8 in North Sea.

Re the transatlantic.The westbound re-positioning voyages take the South Atlantic route to avoid the worst of the weather.(Cruise ships have shallow draughts so they do not ride ocean swells comfortably even with stabilisers).
