Any reviews on Republic Airlines doing business as US Airway

I have never flown this group before and am considering taking them from Indy to Charlotte in June and wondered if anyone flew them and what they thought.

It's a regional carrier, like Mesaba, ASA or similar to Comair. Short flight less than 2 hrs--no big deal. Standard RJ service/comfort. Some new AC are very comfy unless you're flying 3+ hrs--those seat "tushions" get thin after a while!

If you booked your tkt w/DL, you'll pay their prices for beer, wine, cocktails. Often they require you to check your bag planeside if youre on small AC w/small overhead bins.

(I once chatted w/Republic FA who said they had 3 diff price cards, pending which mainline carrier's customers they were flying/serving)

Enjoy your trip!

Flights only about 90 minutes from Indy to Charlotte. Would buy ticket direct on line, don't drink and such. I see the seats are just 2 on each side which would be good as then no middle seat for that person to get scrunched. I read they just bought out Midwest and Frontier Airlines...
