Search on matrix to see which airlines operate the routes and then search on the airlines website for prices and aircraft.

Most economy seats will be broadly similar unless you can get an exit row but those close to toilets and galleys are best avoided - if you can afford it then considering upgrading to premium economy.

The best place to buy tickets is direct from the airline - there are lots of 3rd party sites which range from some who will simply steal your money to those who offer a poor service.

I doubt you'll find any great bargains for travel at xmas time but t's a case of repeated searching until you see a price you are happy to pay - don't be tempted by some of the 3rd party adverts, remember if it seems too good to be true then ....

John,

Also, when you have narrowed things down to the routes that you are looking at, go to seatguru, com (also available directly from TA), plug in the airlines, then the plane used (most often for those routes - or the flight numbers), and look at the seating diagrams. The seats will be colored coded, and from each, you will get a little pop-up with details on each seat - the good, and the bad.

When you have narrowed it down even more, stop back here, with details on the flight(s) you're looking at, mention the planes most often flown, and ask if people have any comments, say on a BA A350, rows 22 - 25 and perhaps A, B or C. It will be likely that someone has flown those seats, or similar ones, and can give you even more detail that what appears on seatguru.

Good luck,

Hunt

You are correct, and just grabbed a designation out of thin air.
