Reading reviews.Awkward to have to click "more" on each one!

Here is a suggestion for improvement - please go back to not having to click "more" on each and every review you want to read!

I'm guessing the new "scrunched up" column is to allow more advertising on the right. Okay, I understand even if I don't like it.

But please, please, please TA - go back to the system where only one click on "more" reveals the full reviews for the whole page, not just one at a time!

It is terribly tedious clicking "more" on every darn review :-(

Oh yeh, i just noticed that HB - that was a pretty recent change no?

God, what a nightmare... fortunately i don't really look at reviews but for those that do - a right pain in the ****!!

I can imagine there will probably be a few complaints about that.

Personally I do not mind it and if it allows TA a way to measure how many people have opened/read a review as many people have asked for it will be worth the inconvenience

Sometimes to give some people what they want you upset another group

+ 1, and not for the first time.

Sorry, I've forgotten on which thread the subject was first raised and attracted unanimous condemnation , but the 'per review expansion' was annoying then and still is.

Revenue/aesthetics/ease of use - surely not such a hard balance to strike?

Edit: oops, FFM was posting while I was typing - my comments were in relation to the OP and CB's reply.

Opening one should open them all, I say! Much easier to scroll down that way. He he, keeps the mouse pad fresh looking for longer :-)

Totally agree with you half-Brit. One click on the 'more' button should open up all the others to be a full review.

I also find it tedious clicking the 'more' button to read every review.

But FFM, TA has had the ability to "count" reviews for a long time -- at least I've been getting those "congratulatory" emails from them for a long time.

So I'm wondering why or even if this change is really necessary?

For those of us who do read reviews, it's going to make reading more than just a few of them slow going :-(

half-Brit

I am aware of the e_mails they have sent out but i cannot see how they could have measured how you had read which review

Perhaps if they can TA would like to explain how they do it

There is obviously a reason for the change so perhaps TA could enlighten us as to what it is as this is not the first time it has been raised

I would also like to know the reasoning behind this.

Perhaps we could have three modes - this new one in addition to the two old ones? I can see each one having pros and cons.

Country_Wife:

I agree, it could be like the 'Expand view' and 'Restore original view' on the forums except it could be named something along the lines of 'Full review' and 'Brief review'.
