Dive SIte and Dive operator listings

Suggest adding a feature to narrow the search options under the "Things to Do" Category.

Model it after the one that exist for restaurants where a person can narrow the search by price, neighborhood, and food type.

Change the options to things like guided tours, Dive sites, Dive operators, etc.

I use TripAdvisor for a few things but it is really difficult to find information on SCUBA diving and dive operators on a tropical island.

Hi there

As an interim solution (albeit probably long term interim solution) have you tried the relevant forum search facilities? They've always yielded good results for me, as has the main page search.

Have done that (both asking and giving suggestions). You are correct. They are helpful.

Thanks for the suggestion.

I agree. Adding "filters" to the hings-to-do section could make it a lot more user friendly.

Hi all,

Thanks for the suggestion. Just want to note for now that we do offer filters on the main "Attractions" tab on the "Things to Do" pages; the link to select filters appears just below the "Attractions" tab, and you can filter by categories of attractions -- and if you want to see tours only, you can switch the "Tours" tab.

Also, while you can't filter attractions by neighborhood yet, if you click on any of the map links you'll be able to see nearby attractions on the map.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi Dan,

Thanks for pointing out where the filter is. The filter doesn't actually work for water sports as it is not available for the Tours tab. Not many members know that it is on that tab that you should look for water sports (and now cooking classes). I'm surprised though that checking on the Attractions of some cities, for example, Miami the filter on the Attractions page includes "water sports" but obviously only shows the 3 listings that have not yet been moved to the Tours tab.

Are there any plans to change the name of the Tours tab and add a filter to it similar to the filter in the Attractions page? Silvia
