new review badges.

seems TA in their infinite wisdom have come up with new badges for reviews and I am now a "Resturant Specialist" after doing the magnificent total of 6 reviews............ WOW!( yes that's sarcasim)

considering 2 of my 6 reviews are of pubs , one is of a nightclub and the other 3 are of chain resturants including a McDonalds and a Eat unit at the Airport I hardly think I am really qualified to be called a Resturant Specialist.

Please TA do away with all this badge nonsense, I really don't need to be rewarded ,ok I quite liked getting Gold stars when I was 5 or 6 but grew out of that by the time I was 7, at 57 years old ,just by me a beer or a whisky and I will be quite happy.

Haha Gus - your thread reminded me to retrieve my TA emails from the trash can today.

Sure enough I have been awarded a "Hotel Expert" badge today!

Wow, how impressive is that? ;)

Just looked and don't see this badge on my profile though.........;)

Yup, I was surprised when I got an email this morning with more badges: Hotel Connoisseur badge for your 22 hotel reviews, the Restaurant Expert badge for your 46 restaurant reviews, and the Attraction Expert badge for your 26 attraction reviews.

Some people really like the badges and write reviews just get a badge. Silly, but to each his own.

Glass doors and room for an extra shelf when you need it. Quick post a few more reviews, it's not nice telling everyone you're a 'SENIOR' especially when you don't look it.... ROFL

I did not get any extra badges :-(. Maybe they have not arrived yet on this side of the Atlantic. Seriously, I have no problem with badges if it somehow motivates some people to participate, although I agree that participation works best when done with altruistic motives.

infinite, spelled i-n-f-a-n-t-i-l-e.

This info about new titles must be coming through emails? I don't see anything listed under my avatar in the reviews. Ignorance is bliss in this case.

Wish they`d stop tinkering with this kind of rubbish and get the saved trips fiasco sorted.

My netbook still keeps crashing making my saved trips pretty well useless. Can`t even get to them to delete some of the old ones.

Everything I saved and sorted over the years is lost in some bottomless hole. (Now complete with pictures which probably has caused the problem.)

" I hear you, unclegus .. "

I seem to have gained three 'badges' .. oh boy, kind of makes think back to childhood days when I might have garnered such via purchasing bubble gum, or the like.

... and the sillyness continues.
