Arrrgh! Fooled again into answering a question long after the OP has come and gone on their trip! This seems to happen ALL the time on the Hawai'i forums. And I'll bet it happens on all of the very active destination forums.
Someone who is not so familiar with how TA forums work best will do a search and tack on their question to an old post. It brings up the old post and then people mistakenly answer the OP's question even though their trip is long past.
I know we can and should look at the original post date after we go to the topic, but we don't always. Especially now that you can jump directly to the last post, it gets confusing.
Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to lobby TA to put the date of the original post in the tread list???
It could go next to the OP's username. I love that you can now go to the last posting in a thread and see when that was posted. Why not the date of the original posting too???
Is this forum the best way to communicate with TA on issues like this or are there better ways?
If any of the rest of you agree with me (or don't) I'd love to hear about it.
