New Forum request - API developers

There are quite frequent requests on the Support forums from developers working on behalf of hotels, tourism websites and so on asking for information on how to use the TA API to integrate information from TA onto other websites.

These requests are invariably redirected to the Owners forum but web developers are not normally the owners of the businesses they are working for, Owners would normally be wary of giving someone working on a contract basis access to their TA management centre and other business owners are not usually technically savvy enough to answer complex web programming questions.

So it would be a good idea if there were a beyond destinations forum where web developers could ask each questions with, ideally, some input from members of the TA API development team.

Developers working on APIs can contact TA via the Help Center. As you know only licensed partners can use an API. If they have an issue with an API www.tripadvisor.com/GeneralSupport > Widgets & Content Licensing.

Owners don't need to request an API to use available content via widgets. I only saw one post so far (today) redirecting someone asking for API info to the Owners' forum. I was going to post the Help Center form to use and totally forgot. Will do it now.

Posted in a rush and didn't add, that according to the Help Center, Tripadvisor only grants a limited number of partnership every year. It may be that there are not enough to warrant setting up a private forum for them. If that were the case, TA could provide add a separate contact form for them in the Help Center.
