A hotel restaurant that is open to the general public should have a separate listing in the restaurant category.

If it doesn't you can request a listing be added, A hotel restaurant may be listed under the hotel name or have its own name

Click on Write a review, Search on the name - if it is not found click 'Tell us more about it' to request a new listing

Always save a copy of your review in case something goes wrong.

Thanks. The hotel/restaurant is listed under two separate names but both as hotels. I finally gave up and used the second name and stated it was the restaurant I was reviewing. I also tried to find a way to email Trip Advisor with questions about this but could only find general answers and no way to contact them w/ a specific question. Unless you list the name almost exactly, they don't find it.

Considering this is my time, I feel they should try to make the assistance they give to users, a little more friendly. It's a great site for getting info, but I have had frustrations whenever I try to add info on some place new. Thanks for reading.

Is this the hotel in Quito you wrote a review for? I see your restaurant review was written for a hotel with same name but in Papallacta not Quito. I'm guessing the hotel in Quito is listed incorrectly or it just happens to be in Quito and has the same name as the lodge in Papallacta.

They list the hotel in Quito, but it is really in the small town of Papallacta, approx 1.5 hrs from downtown Quito
