Reviews in x cities

This may have been raised when I have been off on holiday for the past three weeks

I see TA have now added to people's profile the number of "cities" you have reviews

Well my total is wrong as one of the ones listed I have never been to

Also I would not class tourist resort or a small hamlet in the Lake District as a city - why was that word used???

Hi FFM;

Others have commented that their totals are incorrect, as well.

Best Regards

Hi FFM,

Welcome back from vacation!

I'm going to add you to a bug we have about this. As RescueTeam noted, there are some people reporting cities showing up in their passport badge that they haven't reviewed anything in. I'll let you know when we get more information from engineering on this.

Regarding Elterwater, it looks like we have it as a separate geo here, so it would classify as a place that would get called out in a passport badge:

tripadvisor.com/Tourism-g2318405-Elterwater_…

Hope you had a nice time when you were away!

We did have a great time and the TA moderators did a great job in controlling some of my "live from" threads that can get a bit heated at times.

What is the passport badge and why are the places listed as cities. Punta Cana in DR is not a city and neither is Playa Mujeres in Mexico. Now of the reviews I have done have been for places in cities

Am I missing something here? I do not see any cities on my profile, neither do I when I have checked other member's profiles, eg: flipflop_man.

bellagio - it does not appear on profiles. It only appears under your avatar to the left of any review that you've posted. You have reviews in 10 "cities".

flipflop_man - it seems that TA classifies any "destination" that has places to review as a "city".

BayB0y:

Thanks for that. I see it now. I personally can't see the point of it myself.

There must be a more appropriate word than city

But if the bug gets fixed, then I have to stop pretending that I've been to Beijing, Nanchang, and Ganzhou, China. Darn!
