One of TA's other DEs for Philippines has just used the general Help Centre to contact TA.
Unfortunately TA has closed a well supported and useful thread 'Boracay and Typhoon Yolanda.'
Are such decisions 'made' by TA's software or is the closure because a TA staff member saw a word that he or she did not like such as 'disaster', 'devastation', 'died' or so on? (I have not searched the thread - they are typical words that may be "offensive" even if in this case factual).
Some tourists bound for the extremely popular white sand beach island of Boracay mistakenly believe that it was suffered huge damage. The thread was therefore useful at giving the facts.
Given that TA_MikeW and other TA staff members no longer accept private messages from what I can see (a new policy), is the only way to request thread reinstatement now to use what I have always found to be the slow response Help Centre?
