My friend and I will be backpacking through Europe for the month of May (this is last minute, I know). We are flying into Amsterdam and planning on heading from there to Berlin - Prague - Krakow - Budapest - Vienna - Salzberg - Munich - Zurich - and we are flying out of Paris.
We are on a budget and were hoping to hear some suggestions as to whether it is more worthwhile to buy a rail pass, bus pass or if it is more economical to do a mix of both and buy individual tickets for each trip. Is travelling long distances by bus significantly less expensive than by train in Europe? Is it considerably more time consuming?
Thank you so much!
