I have used this site before for Europe travel and had no problems, now is a mess. After months of research on different sites to find our perfect Florence, Italy, Anniversary holiday, I put together the perfect flight and hotel via Expedia. Finally relieved that the search was over, I called to book the package, using the itinerary # that I had saved. Fine. Then I get the confirmation. First name is wrong on the ticketing, does not match passport. The agent never asked, and my fault, I never thought to question spelling while on the phone. They have 24 hr. free cancellation policy. Within that time, I called to fix name. Told they cannot change name. I have to cancel ticket and re-book flight, but price has changed overnight. I don't want to cancel anything-please just fix the name! They could not do that. Now the same trip is over $300. more because it wasn't booked together! Another agent suggested cancelling the entire package and re-booking-but then said he couldn't do that because the hotel desk wasn't open until 9 AM, so when they could be reached was passed the 24 hr. deadline. Said he couldn't cancel and re-book the hotel unless he talked to them first. The only contact # that I can find is to write their corporate office. I guess I just have to eat it. Any others with this happen?
