Beach Destination wedding with 4 kids in July. Need help!

This is a 2nd wedding for both of us and between us we have 4 kids under the age of 13 that we want to be present. We have always talked about a beach wedding! The only time that will work with school schedules and sports is July, 2012. From what I understand it is a cost effective month to travel to hot places which is a plus. We want to go to Mexico but some family and friends say they won't go to Mexico. We want simple yet elegant and inexpensive yet not "cheap". We have been to Cabo and Cancun areas and love the sand and water of Cancun areas better.

Need suggestions on family friendly, nice yet not luxurious (price wise), great beach, all inclusive resorts! Advice and suggestions WELCOME! :)

Thanks!!

Congratulations! We got married at Sandos Caracol Eco Resort in Playa del Carmen and it was spectacular for a very reasonable price. This was my husbands second wedding and we brought his three daughters with us. They were 4, 12 & 15 at the time. This resort kept everyone happy. It's very big (1000 rooms) so there's something for everyone. We had about 25 in our party and everyone had a good time. The wedding day was perfect and their planner did an outstanding job. They threw in some perks too which was nice. The wedding itself was under $3000 with all the little extras factored into that amount (bloodwork etc).
