I'm wondering about why you cancelled your trip to Cancun. I've been there a lot. I'm sure you realize this, but Cancun weather is tropical, so it generally rains every day - so looking at percentages is not a good indicator of true weather. It will rain for 15-30 minutes, then clear up. The exception is when tropical storms are around and I didn't see any active storms headed to the gulf. Anyways, I agree with New Orleans as a fun place. Maybe Puerto Rico, Orlando, Tampa ? Not enough information to tell.
