Is there one that stands out not only as a train trip

but an adventure,,

Mine was the TAZARA from Kapiri Mposhi to Dar es Salaam

The expect travel time Tues from 4pm to Thursday around

mid day---expected but rarely happens from what i, m told

Ours left KM at 6pm Tues and arrived Friday around mid day

in Dar for the cost of under $30 Met many real travling folk

and I was only mzungu in my 6 berth carriage Just an

amazing life experience

So love to hear any train journies

London to Disneyland Paris on the Eurostar.

Tokyo Station to Maihama for Tokyo Disney Resort.

Hong Kong MTR from Causeway Bay to Hong Kong Disneyland.

Bet you enjoyed them

Trains beat busses hands down

For me a combo of flying & trains

Ive done all three and its actually a clever reply, but I keenly sense the 'train' travel wasn't the favourite part.

Came thru that way 30 years back and got stopped coming

down a road by a french policeman!!!

We had to wait till the Tour de France came thru

So we just stood on the road and watched the riders

and a whole fleet of support vehicles pass

An unexpected happening
