3:37 am arrival

This is my first trip on Amtrak. I'm taking the Crescent in coach from Hattiesburg, MS (9:30 am) to Greensboro, NC (3:37 am) this Sat., June 28th. I plan to have a personal wake up alarm, but do they have train attendants that check to see if you're alert and ready to get off? If you have any other suggestions for my first trip, please feel free. Thanks!

Welcome to TA. This train forum is international so it helps to put your location or train identification in your title. (In this case : Amtrak).

You will be assigned a seat by the conductor when you check in at your beginning station. A colored tag will be placed about your seat. That will identify your departure station. The dedicated car attendant will wake you in time for you to prepare to detrain. Do not use an alarm as you will wake other passengers. Noise making electronics are not allowed in the coach cars.

Caveat: stay in your assigned seat. If the attendant can't find you he/she can't wake you. If you are still worried about this, have a chat with the car attendant before you go to sleep.

Thanks! Another question-- Does the train stop at every depot on the line or just when someone is boarding?

The train stops at every scheduled stop.
