The last time I took that service, I think I recall it being the ICE 2. I also believe the ICE 1 operate the service ex Hamburg, and ICE T operates this ex Berlin

I may need it verified by the train experts.

As it is really not simply said at least for the ones ex Hamburg via Nuremberg to Munich (not too familiar with other routes) as some come just from Hamburg some are combined in Hannover with another train from Bremen while on some days of the week while same time different train number and model.
