Honeymoon Trip Advice

I am trying to plan my honeymoon and am interested in luxury beach destinations for anything from 2 -3 weeks worth of travel in late August 2014. We are really drawn to places like Bora Bora, the Maldives, Fiji, Seychelles. Would anyone have any advice on a trip itinerary for either of these places? Or where to fly to for the most economical option (we are from Toronto but would be willing to fly from anywhere in the U.S. if that is cheaper)? Or other suggestions for places that could offer the over-water bungalow, beautiful scenic experience as well?

THANKS!!!

Hi deucebake,

2 - 3 weeks is a considerable length of time. One suggestion is to fly Air New Zealand out of LAX into the Cook Islands with some time spent exploring Rarotonga (main island) followed by Atiu island then Aitutaki - staying at the Aitutaki Lagoon Resort with its o/w bungalows. Perhaps 8 - 10 days in the Cook Islands.

Fly south to Auckland (daily flights from Rarotonga), rent a car to visit Waitomo Caves -Rotorua - Taupo and the thermal region, followed by skiing on Mt Ruapehu - 5 days or so. Fly from Rotorua or Hamilton to the South Island to ski the peaks around Queenstown and Wanaka - 5 days. Depart Auckland.

With this itinerary you use NZ dollars throughout, and gain an experience of two different countries with diverse scenery and activities.

All the best for your honeymoon plans.
