New Zealand Astronomy - need an laser pointer

Hey guys at the end of this month I will be traveling to New Zealand. I need an laser pointer for astronomy use. Just wonder if the following laser is good:

Not sure how many astronomers are here, so you may want to find an astronomy forum. candlepowerforums.com might also be a good resources as they deal with everything related to lighting.

Whatever you do, don't point it at a plane.

I think you find high power lasers difficult to find and are likely to have one confisgated by Customs if you bring one through in your baggage. Principplay because of the proble identified by Tev999.

Check with the forum convenor they may have a laser pointer available for you. Many convention organisers have access to such items that will meet your needs.
