I-95 Florida to entrance of Blue Ridge Parkway

the plan is to drive the entire Blue Ridge Parkway - no tourist stops, no reserved hotels - just focusing on the beautiful drive. Coming from I-95 Florida, where would be the best way to get onto it? The best driving route?

If I remember right, we picked up the Blue Ridge Pkwy near Cherokee, NC close to the entrance of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, which I highly recommend.

That is correct. You could take US Hwy 441 thru east and north Georgia and connect to the parkway or go up I 75 and head to Pigeon Forge and go thru the Great Smoky Mts. NP and connect to the parkway.

Here is a link to map for the parkway-

here is the link to info which includes a travel planner, hotels, what to see, etc.-

Take I-26 all the way over to Ashville, NC, which is worth a visit also.

Take I-26 to I-40 at Asheville NC. Go north on I-40 to the exit for highway 19. Take that to Cherokee NC. That is where the Blue Ridge Parkway starts.
