One way road trip from Los Angeles to Vancouver

Hello,

I am looking to plan a one way road trip from Los Angeles to Vancouver during the month of May. There are only two of us driving and we have been looking at what places to see and best mode of transportation. Currently we are thinking of making it about 10 days, and would like to drive along the coast. We think it may be cheaper to rent a campervan but the only one we have found so far that does the full commute is Wicked Campers (http://www.wickedcampers.ca/) which looks great but I wanted to see if anyone else had suggestions.

Thank you for your help in advance. We are excited for this adventure!

Assuming you are flying into LA from home, and back from Vancouver, if you rent a car, there will always be a one way rental fee. If you drop the car off in Seattle, or at least south of the border, that fee will be lower than an international one way fee. There are train and bus services between Seattle and Vancouver to cover the gap.

I've not checked the websites to see if they offer that route, but for campervan rentals, there are other campervan operators such as Jucy, etc who are pretty similar to Wicked. Most of the vans from most of those companies are likely to be well used previous and are very basic - but if you've already checked out Wicked's website, you should know that already.

!0 days is a viable length of time for the trip, longer of course would always be better. You are unlikely to encounter snow on any roads heading up the coast, but do be aware that some of the national parks in the mountains that you might want to consider visiting may well still have a lot of snow in May with most roads closed within the parks.

Hi.

9 nights is going to be a pretty rapid trip if your taking time in the cities into account in that ( LA, SF. Portland?Seattle and Vancouver)?, or was your plan to avoid the cities and just seek out the more natural locations?

Just to illustrate with some time in LA and SF, no Yosemite or Vancouver.

2 nights LA.

2 nights Hwy 1.

2 nights SF

1 night Redwoods.

1 night Oregon Coast.

1 night Portland or Seattle.

Vancouver, Canada
