Germany -Sweden-Kopenhagen??

Hello everyone, I'm planning a trip from Berlin, Germany, to Sweden, exploring one more Scandinavian country, and returning to Berlin. We'll be traveling for around 10-13 days in the peak of summer with my kids, who are almost 4 and almost 2 years old. Any suggestions on how we should travel between destinations and what activities might make the kids happy? We're interested in beaches, nature, and a bit of city experience. Thanks in advance for your recommendations and suggestions!

" suggestions on how we should travel between destinations "

Personally l would fly ...

Flights from Berlin to Stockholm are under 5 hours

Trains or Car /Road Trips are much longer than flights , between 13-16 hours, but of course this is your trip so entirely your call as to how you travel ...

The Butterfly House and Haga Ocean Aquarium are very popular attractions in Stockholm to visit with children ...

And you might also visit the popular Junibacken Children's Museum there too

There are nice beaches not far from the city ...

And if planning for Copenhagen as well, ld look into visiting the Copenhagen Zoo and Tivoli Gardens, both of which are very popular kid friendly attractions

HI!

If you do decide to take the train, you could still explore most areas of the major cities but will be constrained with options especially during the summer due to a retracted schedule for the public transport if you decide to venture out.

I would suggest therefore the take the car+ferry option if you can - its shows an approx. 7 hour drive and should be doable with 4 & 2 year old. I did a similar drive from the west coast to the east coast in Sweden starting at Helsingborg, last week with a 3 year old and 2 year old , with 2 stops in between and it was pretty comfortable.

Arrive in Denmark and go straight to Billund - you have the Lalandia water park & Lego land as the perfect start up for your kids vacations. 2-3 Nights here

Move to Copenhagen and explore Tivoli, the zoo and explore the city. Cross the Oresund bridge and explore Malmö 2-3 nights for these 2 places as well.

From here you are kind of free to explore in a lot of different ways depending on what you like to do.

Ales Stenas (Sweden's own Stonehenge)

Kiviks Musteri

Ikea Museum

Moose Safari at Markaryd

Explore the cities of Ystad, Lund and Helsingborg. Universeum in Gothenburg & Tropicariet in Helsingborg are absolutely amazing to visit with kids.

Dive into the local forums for more in-depth info on each of the cities and stuff do do.

If you can live with not visiting Stockholm, then this would be a good option - else you will lose atleast 3 days in driving.

All the best!

Thank you! We're planning to drive from Berlin to Rostock and then take the ferry. We're a bit overwhelmed with planning activities and connecting the places, especially with a focus on keeping the kids entertained. Your suggestions and tips are greatly appreciated. The Family-friendly ideas sound also perfect. Thanks a Bunch!
