How to obtain a High School Student ID?

We travel all over the world and we have had not been able to take advantage of student disocunts because our child (age 15) does not have a student ID. Her public high school does not issue them. I contacted our county school board and they say there is nothing they can do. I contacted our state department of education and they were very surprised because they thought that IDs were mandatory in all Florida county schools. Our local law enforcement agency says they can't provide any strudent identification.

Does anyone have a suggestion, short of making a fake ID? Thanks!

Bring a copy of a current report card and state id card or driver's license (once she has one). This has worked for friends of ours in the past.

Have a look at the International Student Identity Card -

The international student ID card is the best idea since it is recognizable all over the world. Our daughters carried these cards when they were in high school even though their schools issued ID's.
