2 adults + 3,4,5 kids? Rooms for 5?

I just read few threads in the forum here about past discussions concerning travel with more than 2 kids!

It reassure me that we're not alone....

Does someone have other suggestions? my take and experience and all this is if you want to stay at a Hotel and not consider other options, is 2 rooms or lying...

it would be great to find a Hotel chain that take care of this and offer very easy, affordable and nice options...

Having 3 kids is expensive and our salary are not doubled because we have more kids ;-)

Hi Roroswiss;

Welcome to the Family Travel forum.

first please help more specific information to where are you tarevlling with your family, so for Kids you can book 2 rooms 1 double and 1 other room for kids, would be more cheaper option.

There is cheaper options, it's only depends on which place you are travelling to.

Regards;

Its really difficult, hotels with family rooms for 5 are hard to find but not impossible. We have found rooms here in the uk and also at a hotel in Corfu. Turkey seems to have the most availability, with rooms actually designed for five and more with sparate sleeping areas rather than a standard room with extra beds squashed in! I've not come accross a chain which specialises in this but would love to know if you find one.

@Eden7 and @HamidB499, thanks for your help but,

I am not travelling anywhere right now, it was more a feedback and a experience... and a question if someone discovered or new something like Mia proposed.

@Mia it is exactly the type of answers I am looking for! Thank you Sydney! ;-)

Hi

I would suggest looking at staying in apartments or villas. This can be a great option when heading to Asia. I am not sure what is available in Europe.

Most hotels only offer room for 1 extra (sometimes at a pinch 2 kids if they are young).

There is a website http://familyfriendlyaccommodation.com.au/ which offer reviews by parents at various hotels etc. You may find something on here.

Hope that gives you a bit more food for thought

Happy travels

RoroSwiss.

The reason why hotel rooms for larger familes are in such short supply, is due to fire regulations. Many hotels have restrictions placed on them that prohibit or limit the total number of guests they can accommodate. That's not to say that some hotels do not cater for higher room occupancy, just that they are in short supply! As other here have said, self catering is one of the options for families with more than 2 children... or for those who are also taking granny!

"is due to fire regulations."

don't agree.

would more be for "economic reasons".

It is hard but we found several hotels that provide 5 beds...
