Hi Paige S,
The options are endless. Can you give us a little more info? Budget, type of accommodations, transportation (plane, car, etc), length of trip, farthest travel distance, etc?
Less than a day air travel each way preferred. Nice 3-5 star would be great. Prefer little hassle. No cruises. Thank you for your consideration and suggestions!Edited: 30 December 2013, 15:11
Our family really enjoyed Playa Del Carmen, Mexico a couple of years ago. We stayed at an All Inclusive that was really reasonable (The Reef Playacar). There is quite a lot to do around the area (by taxi or car). We went to the Tulum ruins which was beautiful, Xcaret (a archaeological theme park), XelHa a water type park but has other activities as well, and enjoyed the beaches outside of our hotel which were so pretty! We rented bikes from our hotel and also ventured into town one day and had amazing Mexican food.
We really love this place and will definitely return in the future.Edited: 30 December 2013, 16:53
Costa Rica is fabulous for families if you would like to leave the country. The National Parks and wildlife are most enjoyable for children. We also enjoy Mexico.
For the US, it's harder to find warm temps in March, but Southern California is always enjoyable even if it is not full on beach weather. You can base in Oceanside or Carlsbad if you want to explore both San Diego and spend a day or two in LA, at a theme park perhaps. We had a wonderful, easy, and affordable vacation renting a condo in Del Mar, just north of San Diego. Or look at Tucson, and consider maybe a dude ranch. One of my favorites is Tanque Verde. Fabulous for families, everything is included. My boys loved it.
Of course, Florida too. The gulf coast, perhaps Sanibel or Fort Myers beach.Edited: 31 December 2013, 15:12
