Overseas Young Family Travel Destination

Hi Everyone!

My husband is turning 30 next year & we were thinking rather than spending $5k-$6k on a party.. We would try and go overseas with it instead! Main areas of thought for us is that we'd be travelling with a 2 year old & a 5 month old...

If you could make suggestions that would be great! Here's the info you may need:

- July 2015 for travel (approx 1 week stay)

- preferably somewhere warm (to escape our winter)

- somewhere no further than 8-9 hrs away (although on our budget.. I'd doubt we'd be able to get very far anyway)

- somewhere safe to take our children

- we live in Australia

Open to all suggestions!

SE Asia is probably a good choice. You will have to buy 3 airline tickets, so farther afield will likely eat up a substantial part of your budget and also be more than 9 hours in the air. Bali and Thailand are 2 obvious choices. Vietnam and Malaysia are possibilities. I am confident you could have a nice holiday in Bali or Thailand, while staying within budget and flight time criteria.

Consider Fiji............it's nice and dry in July, and the average temperature is in the low 80's.....because its not high season, the airfares are lower then, and it's less than a 7 hour flight, depending of course exactly where in Oz your actually flying from.............click the blue link in this post to find out more about Fiji
