Sol Melia at the Gran Melia

Hi,

We're booked into the Sol Melia for a week through RCI. Have the car rental and think we'll eat at he kiosks for dinners. Can anyone tell me how close they are?

So far, a day in OSJ, biobay trip and a walk with the Las Cabesa de San Juan.

Can anyone tell me about Las Cabesa de San Juan? I was thinking of signing on for another walk with them.

Thanks in advance.

We had seafood. Huge portions. Nice view to the beach.

We did the biobay too which is really fun. Check the moon schedule for best dates.

Thanks! Definitely sounds like I'll be hittting that eating spot.

We checked the moon chart. They have it listed as "best time".

Is the water icky or clear?

There are no kioks at Gran Melia. The kiosks are a row of small restaurants (around 40) in Luquillo, (road #3) right in front of the Balneario La Monserrate aka Luquillo beach.

They have different specialties, such as ceviche (Ceviche Hut), hamburgers (El Jefe Burger), local /seafood (La Parrilla) and the typical fritters sucha as bacalaitos (codfish fritters), alcapurrias (filled with meat or seafood), empanadillas (turnover like with different fillings), tacos (not like the mexican ones with different fillings), drinks and cold coconuts , among others.

From the Melia, it should take around 18 minutes (going east) to get there.

Langroch. it is also forbidden to swim at the Mosquito (Vieques) biobay.

Wondering if "water shoes" would be needed or all beaches very sandy?
