Gran Melia Golf Resort-Puerto Rico

Looking for some affordable, delicious lunch and dinner options outside of the hotel. Who knows places that are close (we will have a car)? Not wanting to drive too far. Anythng that is even along the highway or beaches. Thanks!

The kiosks in Luquillo are about 10 minutes east on Route 3.

Pasta y Pueblo in Luquillo.

Lolita's Mexican on Route 3 in Luquillo (almost Fajardo).

Asia Buffet in the Ralph's shopping center on Route 3 in Rio Grande (couple minutes west of you).

There are a number of decent restaurants in Fajardo, maybe a 20-minute drive.

hi sliebst. I agree with the first reply, and I also want to add Richies Cafe

Bar and Restaurant. They are approx 15-20 minutes by car, or 10-15 by their own shuttle.(free shuttle from Gran Melia and they have a private pass shortcut) Multple varieties of Mofungo and their Churrazzo was great! The view is high overlooking the ocean and valley, open air and/or balcony tables. Richie and his wife, Marisol, own and manage, and are always there.U won't be sorry!

Almost any panaderia (bakery) will offer inexpensive sandwiches for breakfast or lunch. There are a few in Rio Grande, not far from the resort (closer or on RT 3).

Also on the corner of RT 3 and RT 186 is El Verde Bar and Rest. Really excellent inexpensive local food. Set up cafeteria style.

The clubhouse restaurant at the Trump Golf course is open to the public and a good option for lunch.

We really enjoyed Boardriders in Luqillo, more so than the Brass Cactus. Boardriders is smaller and felt more personal. Menu is limited but we enjoyed everything we ate there. It is a little more difficult to locate than Brass Cactus though.
