Club Mobay Arrivals

Just wondering if anyone has chosen to use the arrivals option for Club Mobay?

We did DRegehr. We arrived at about 8 PM on New Year's Day and were met at the foot off our gate by a representative carrying a sign with our name. He escorted us through Security and Immigration, and then to the Sandals Lounge. As we were a late arrival and no other incoming planes were there, the desks were relatively empty and the line ups non-existent so we wondered whether it was worth the price for the arrivals service, but nonetheless, it was nice to be greeted by a friendly face who offered help with getting us carts, taking our luggage off the turnstile, etc. We'll let you know if it worth it on the return journey - we travel back home on Friday (though I will have to pry my husband from SWH - he is determined to never leave! LOL)!

Thank you Gayle for your input to my question. This our first trip to Jamaica and are arriving on a Saturday at 2:15 pm which I have read from other posts can be very busy, our hope is to get through customs fast and onto the Sandals transport. Again thanks, we have booked arrival and departure service.

We have not used Club Mobay on arrival but can attest to the long lines through customs and the crowded Sandals lounge midafternoon. I was not too impressed by the lounge but, honestly, if you have been through the airport once and know what to do I probably wouldn't spend the money unless you know of some delay. The transfer was so quick we were in the lounge just long enough to use the restroom facilities and then we were off to the bus.

Deregehr, there are lots of posts on CMB with tons of info on the arrival and the departure services. Check them out. There several on the MB forums.

We have done the departure and enjoyed it, but not the arrival.

Gayle. How do you go about booking the arrival portion. We tried online but it asked us for a Company name and a Partner code, which we don't have. Help, stuck here in Peterborough

To book the arrival service you either have to email them with your arrival information and work it out or call them. From the website:

BOOK NOW! Contact your Travel Professional, email us at prioroty@vipattractions.com or call us at 1-876-619-1565.

I have used both the arrival and departure services and they are great!

We booked it through our travel agent. Just got confirmation/receipt last week. We leave July 10th. This is a little extra surprise for my wife. Can't wait to see the expression on her face when we get off the plane and she sees someone holding a sign with our name on it. Overall, probably was an unnecessary expense as we are arriving on a Wednesday afternoon, but I thought it would be a good surprise and a nice way to start a great vacation.

I'm with Eastsider- we arrive early on a Friday morning later in July, and from experience, this is not a heavy traffic time, but... you never know, a slight delay or something could turn it into a heavier time... Regardless, even 20 minutes saved gives us 20 minutes more of vacation time! :) Mostly, I'm doing it for the same reason as Eastsider... I wanted to add a few extra perks into our upcoming vacation to spoil my husband a bit, and him seeing our names on a card and a little VIP service seemed the perfect start! Booked the package, so we have it on return as well. Excited to give it a shot. If it's not worth it to us, then we'll know for sure instead of wondering... but, I think we very well might get hooked!

We did both the arrival and departure back in Jan/Feb. When I looked to see how many flights were landing in the half hour around ours, there were about 7-8 flights due to land, with several of them being large planes from the UK and Canada. It was great having someone there waiting for us, and escorting us thru all the lines quickly. Our flight was delayed landing by about 20 minutes, but it being a Saturday we were still happy to have the service. There were also very good snacks available at the lounge, which is located right next door to the Sandals lounge.

On departure, we were delayed flying home by 2 days due to the blizzard back here. There was no issue for us to use our departure pass two days later. It was soooo great having the CMB to hang out in while waiting for our flight. Great food and drink, and free internet (with computers available as well).
