Our family+dog are interested in a vacation near Lake Superior Provincial Park this year. We were there several years ago and liked doing some of the short hikes in the park. We are interested in staying as close to the park as possible in a vacation home or cottage/cabin. Ideally, on or near a sand beach with shallow water rather than a rock beach where it gets deep quickly.
Are there shallow waters and sandy beaches in Batchawana? I assume there is because there is a place called Sand Bay.
We have a line on a home for rent near the Goulais River, but are looking for something even closer to the Park.
Any information would be appreciated--there is not much information and no photos on the web regarding Batchawana Bay and we have never been there.
