Best restaurants for families and kids?

My family and I will be coming to Door County Memorial Day weekend. We have children ages 6 and 2.

Are there any restaurants you would recommend for a family with kids? We enjoy outdoor seating but that isn't a necessity.

Thanks!

PC Junction often gets mentioned for train delivered food. We found it busy in mid afternoon in very late August which is bad news for the what the rest of the busier season must be like. It's also dark and crowded and you may be waiting for a seat. That said it's up to you to decide from there, they have a nice outdoor area to play for the kids. :-)

For breakfast Good Eggs has egg wraps/burritos and is very economical. So no it doesn't have a kid's menu nor does it need one. That is in Ephraim and you can dine outdoors on surfboard tables.

Wilson's for ice cream. If you want homemade ice cream don't go but if you enjoy a good dessert and come during a less busy time and only for dessert for which they're known and not food you'll likely enjoy it. That's in Ephraim too.

In Sister Bay try Al Johnson's the kids will love the goats on the roof.

Places with good kids' menus that my kids liked when they were your kids' ages-Cornerstone in Bailey's Harbor, Second Story Restaurant in Ephraim, Julie's in Fish Creek, Door County Ice Cream Factory in Sister Bay. Husby's Bar in Sister Bay is family-friendly. My kids like Coyote Roadhouse in Bailey's Harbor.

You will be a hero to your kids, especially to your 6 year old, if you go to PC Junction. Make sure to ask for a seat by the train. There is plenty to keep you busy while you wait for your table, especially on the other side of the parking lot from the restaurant.

The restaurants mentioned above are in northern Door County, which is probably not convenient for you.

Donny's Glidden Lodge is a nice place for dinner. The Cabin on Bayshore Rd. has good food and friendly service. Both have kids' menus. but they are not cheap.

Sonny's pizza is family-friendly, with good buffet specials. Valmy Happy Hour is a bar with decent pizza.
