Hello,

We've visited CIDMA museum in Corleone yesterday, it was one of the most interesting tours in Sicily so far, thanks to the great guy who was determined to tell us the stories about everything thats held in the museum! We recommend to everyone who visits Sicily to go to this museum and learn the true story about mafia and nowadays antimafia movement, its really really worth hearing and learning it all.

Being so overwhelmed with what we saw and learned, we didnt ask our lovely tour guide (wearing Juventus shirt :) ) who is the guy painted on a poster on the entrance of the museum? If anyone knows (Vagabonda probably :) ), we would really appreciate that info! We have a picture, if its helpful i'll attach to some hosting link.

By the way, Corleone is just a tiny spot in the bag of the impressions treasure we will bring from Sicily. The whole island is just amazing! We saw every part of it, except south, and we will be back here next year for sure.. its so hard to leave in couple of days.

Thanks in advance for the answer... Vagabonda probably :)

And thanks to all beautiful Sicily people! ♡

Hello and thank you Marija N,

The Corleonesi are passionate!

There are so many photos at the museum, but if it hasn't changed, I think there was a photo of Salvatore (Totò) Riina at the entrance.

Please copy what you have written and submit your information as a review for future reference and thank you in advance!

Yes, Toto Rina it is, thank you!

Here's the image above these words to prove.

Thanks Vagabonda for everything you did for us this year, we will be back for sure cuz this island trully is a "kiss of God" of the Earth, as the tour guide said, your Sicily is amazing and you should be proud... we are, for being here.

Thank you!

Like many others before us we visited Corleone inspired by the Godfather films. Only to learn that the town has no relationship with the movies other than in its name. However, we stumbled on the Anti Mafia museum thanks to another tourist we bumped into in a coffee shop. Thanks to her, we duly took the tour of the museum. Quite an incredible experience. Our guide (whose name I do not remember unfortunately), a young lady of Sicilian origin, gave us a brilliant tour and expose of the very important role Corleone has played in the real Mafia (as opposed to Mario Puzo's creation). Travelling all the way to Corleone was certainly made worthwhile because the rest of the town has little of particular interest. If you have an interest knowing about the Mafia then this is a must visit in my view.
