where to stay...............

Hi, We will be in the Dornie area next month. We would love to find a place for a night or two that is not too expensive.... perhaps $100. range. Does anyone have good tips? Thank you

Plockton is a lovely village, close to Dornie. I've never stayed overnight there, so I can't give you a personal recommendation, but have a look at the B&B reviews here on TA - some of them look excellent, and they should be around your budget.

If you quote your budget in the local currency, GBP, then that might help people assist you.

So that's about £60. Wasn't difficult. But not sure if you're asking about a price per capita? £60 for one person's OK, £60 for a couple is pushing it too hard.

There are a few B&Bs in Dornie itself, if you have good reason to stay right there. You might find something in your price range, though for a couple the cost might be more - £60-80.

However Plockton is a beautiful place to stay.

"So that's about £60"

Is it? Could be about £22, or £50, or £30.

Lots of countries use a dollar.

We in the UK use pounds sterling and it is a lot easier for people to help if questions that have a monetary aspect use the local currency.

OP when you say you are in the Dornie area how far away will you be? You could stay on Skye for example.

4 is not always the answer as I have found out.

There are many people who have a location on their profile that bears no relation to their actual place of residence.

Check out the Dornie Hotel, maybe a bit over your budget. Just across from Eilean Donan Castle. Nice pub/restaurant also.
