Where else is like Puerto Pollenca

We have been going to Puerto Pollenca for 10 years now. Is there any where else in a different part of Mallorca that is very similar to Pollenca. We love the restaurants and Bars and the fact that when we go (Sept) there isn't a night club open. Also veering off from Mallorca anywhere else in Spain that is like Pollenca as we will happily go somewhere else, but love Spain. Help!

littlelamb, we also like our own company at meal times and find this perfectly achievable on cruises nowadays and there are so many people on the ship you rarely see the same folk twice. I don't have time at the mo but Monday I'll send you a PM with some thoughts about sea and river cruising which I hope will be useful.

I was also looking at river cruises and I share the same feelings about sitting with the same people everyday, having experienced this on a few coach trips. The river cruise up the river Duoro looks great but the prices are pretty expensive.

We have visited several areas in Majorca, including Puerto Pollenca, Alcudia, Cala d'Or and Cala san Vincente. but our favourite has to be Purto Soller.

This year we are looking forward to quiet evening strolls along the promenade and popping into the wonderful restaurants dotted along the way. When we were there in May last year, there were no nightclubs that we were aware of, and a very relaxed atmosphere in the whole area, which is very traditional.

I'm counting down the days until we go!

Apologies if this is going way off piste from subject but about flights being pricey...friends going late September found their 2 flights £100 more than ours for early September which we booked four months ago. Flights used to get cheaper closer to the date but now they often increase and when you're flying to Mallorca you only have the choice of one destination airport - or a long car ferry from Barcelona! About coach/train trips - sometimes I see those fully escorted tours in the weekend papers - excellent prices when you consider cost of organising it yourself. But a lot seems to rest on the other people on the trip. It could be fun or a total nightmare.

little lamb is correct. For flights to PMI between early May and end September it is highly unlikely costs will reduce from current levels. If convenient for you Ryanair seem to have lowest basic prices through the season. But their hold baggage charges are high so you need to factor these in.

Hello we stayed at Casa Luis it was clean and well equipped. We went as the season was closing so the restaraunt and shop on site were closed. It was quiet and most of the guests were in the second block. We have no children as in our 50's so this suited us. I have also stayed at the Orquidea which is beach front so in an incredible position for the beach we found this one a bit too lively for us. I wouldn't like to recommend as everyone has different opinions I suggest you check out on trip advisor. But The resort of Santa Eulalia is lovely just as is Peurto Pollensa ..good luck
