End of season

Can anyone tell me what hotels/apts and restaurants stay open out of season?

We are looking at visiting during October half term, flying out on the 28th October and returning november 3rd. We came during October half term 2 years ago and by the end of the week things were starting to close (in fact we got moved from the Daina apts to hotel Bahia for the last 3 days as the daina was closing). This time we would be there slightly later.

Thanks :)

Most places put up the winter shutters on 31 October or before if things are quiet.Club Illa d'Or (which are really lovely well fitted-out apartments but pricey) will be open for your dates (the Hotel too) and in theory Flora Apartments too but the latter are less reliable and might accept your booking and then cancel or move you at the last minute. Hotel Mar Calma seems to keep a long season and I would check that one out.

Re restaurants Stay is open year round.

I think there will be enough open to keep you occupied however the only doubt I have is the weather. It is the wettest season then, can be windy and exposed in the North of the island and daylight hours much reduced. Like you I love PP but when it is quiet and in bad weather it can be drab. Canary Islands?

Coincidentally I was just looking at the flora apts! Hotel searches fail to bring up many results so it looks like most are closed. Might have to consider more expensive flights and go a few days earlier. When we went at the same time in 2012 we had fab weather...not too hot and just right for our (at the time) 6 month old. We were very lucky!

Don't fancy the 4+ hour flights to the canaries with a 2 year old and a 6 month old in tow (and we really want to come back to PP!)

Thanks!

This past winter Hotel Sis Pins stayed open the whole time; worth checking out for your timetable.
