Coming to Las Tablas

So apparently it looks like we will not be able to get a room in Las Tablas in early March? We were hoping to come there on Mar. 4....does anybody know any other place along the coast that we could try. We are looking at a month and a half stay.

The Pacific coast is long and there are many areas. What exactly are you looking for in Las Tablas, so we can perhaps suggest another area for you.

Carnaval starts on the 4th, and avoiding the Interamericana highway totally should be your goal. Unbelieveable the amount of cars exiting the city and with only one bridge, it will be gridlock for sure. Be wherever you want to be BEFORE March 4th.......

Thank you for your reply. We are in Nicaragua as of now, and want to go to the area of the pacific in Panama to check out real estate. We chose Las Tablas area, but will be happy staying away from the carnaval rush. I have been looking at Pedasi, is that close by and a good choice until the rush is over. How long is the carnaval, and once it is over, do you have any recommendations as to where we can stay until the end of April? Thanks again.

L:uvpanama, this is a travel site. You would, indeed, get more info by joining a Yahoo forum group and go from there. There are many expats on the Yahoo forms about all of Panama.

If you have never visited, you may want to do that before deciding. Come and rent for 6 months and then decide if you like it there. Good luck

Have a quesion, what is the best way to get from the airport in Panama City to Las Tablas

Considering a January 2013 trip, sight seeing, beach and a visit to the canal. The choice of Las Tablas is also a pre retirement check-out.

Thanks
