Things to do in Vic

My husband and I will be going to Vic at the end of November. My husband is there for a conference so I will spend the days wondering the streets. What is there to see and must not be missed, bearing in mind I will be on my own?

Also how long will it take us from Girona airport.

Many thanks

I suggested a visit to the "episcopal" museum with an important collection of romanesche art or leather's museum (an ancient industry of the city).

Also the catedral and the old town, with some ancient palaces and churchs. And of course a little rambla and the main square of the city (with an important market all saturdays)

Around the city there are some villages and lots of places to do trekking. But if you dont' have a car, you can use the train , and probably buses also (but I'm not sure about timetables). With train you can visit, for instance, the near village of Manlleu:

or Sant Quirze de Bessora. Ripoll is propbably a little more far to trip alone.

If you have a car or use the bus (I supose that in Vic's tourism office have the timetable), you can visit : Rupit or Tavernoles for instance.

A great buy: traditional Vic sausage called "salchichón" (Spanish) or "llonganissa" (Catalan)
