Check current train times www.renfe.com/EN/viajeros/index.html

Not sure what time the parades commence, best to arrive early in Alcoy

If I am not wrong, is the festival not from 21-24 April in 2014?

Your best bet is the bus. www.travicoi.es

Train is pretty retarded: From Valencia there is a train every 30 minutes to Xativa, which is where you transfer. The problem is that sometimes there is only one or two trains to Alcoi in a day, so if you miss your connection you are stuck for hours. Check renfe.es as there is a commitment to get more trains during the festivities.

Morning parade starts at 10am, reaching main square (Plaza de España) around 11am. It proceeds towards Pais Valencià, where it ends. If you plan on seeing it from Pais Valencià be there at noon. If you can, try to get a seat on San Nicolas towards the begining, but it is quite spectacular no matter where you seat. Evening parade starts at 4pm, so main square an hour later, 6pm towards the end.

Each one takes about 3 hours.

Enjoy!

They are usually Aptil 21-24, but not this year. They go along with Easter, so they might change schedule from time to time.
