layover

hello everyone,

I have a layover of 21 hrs in Tokyo and a layover of 13 hours on the way back. Due to my limited amount of time what places are "MUST SEE" while in Tokyo? As in bars, restaurants, clubs, museums, historical places, etc.

You might see eastern central Tokyo and western central Tokyo. There aren't must sees; pick whatever interest you most.

Eastern Central Tokyo: Tokyo Skytree, Asakusa Sensoji & Nakamise Market, Ueno Park & Tokyo National Museum, Ameyoko, Akihabara, Edo-Tokyo Museum in Ryogoku, Edo Castle ruins (East Gardens of the Imperial Palace), Ginza.

Western Central Tokyo: Shinjuku shopping (Isetan, Takashimaya), Tokyo Metropolitan Building observatory, Shinjuku Gyoen park, Meiji Shrine & Takeshita dori & Ota Memorial Museum in Harajuku, Shibuya shopping (Tokyu Hands, Loft, 109).

Historical places are mostly gone because of the bombings of WW2 in central Tokyo.

2. Re: layover

Much depends on which airport and the times of your flights. Narita Airport is an hour from Tokyo Station by Narita Express. It's about an hour from Asakusa by Keisei Narita Sky Access Express.

For your shorter layover, an option is Narita City. Here's some information. tripadvisor.com/…49136205
