Shibuya Gym or Martial Arts?

I will move to Shibuya tomorrow for one month, right next to the subway.

Does anyone know of any good gyms or martial art gyms in the area?

I will only stay one month, preferably a gym with both heavy weights and martial arts, but if I have to go to 2 that is ok.

The gym must have heavy weights, that is all I need (does the shibuya gvmnt sports center have?)

The martial arts could be MMA, or any traditional striking such as Karate, or even Judo or Juijitsu as long as they do sparring. Maybe aikido

My buget is around 20,000 yen for one month

Thanks!

A friend recommended Imaoka but they don't do daily drop-in boxing so I didn't visit it but here's the website.

Gold's Gym Shibuya:

Harajuku is open 24 hours:

Don't expect too much, though, gyms in Japan are usually tiny compared to huge ones we have in the US.

Thanks I'll check them out, I've just checked out the Imaoka boxing gym, for one month you have to pay 30,000 and there are no weights and you can't kick the bags, plus everyone training there was just trying to lose fat.

Oh, most importantly is walking distance from Shibuya subway.... 1.5 km or less preferably, will only travel if there is a good gym with martial arts included.

Are there any more serious MMA gyms around Shibuya? I checked out a few places but they were all mainly for fat people to get into shape.

did you ask about sparring or just look at fat people try to lose weight? sparring people might go at a certain time for better chance to find sparring partners, or on weekends. also not sure if you went during the day or evening since people might have day jobs too. did you come across takehara hatakeyama gym in your search? heard there's sparring there but not sure if it fits your proximity requirements. good luck. you can try posting on craigslist.
