Help Please - how to get to Shinjuku Granbell Hotel?

Hi All,

i read all the message and found only genera information re.access to Shinjuku Granbell Hotel. Due to budget and timing, we can only book this hotel. We are coming from Narita - using JR Pass (assuming we can use NEX?), i know we must stop at Shinjuku Station and i google hotel location but seems it quite far. I am carrying 29inch luggage, 4 wheels, have 2 questions:

- if i walk to hotel, can anybody advise me how is the step by step direction? (try to do in google map but confusing) and how long.

- if i take taxi, much does it cost from Shinjuku station to Hotel.

Thank you for all your help.

Granbell is not conveniently located. Stay elsewhere, even if not Shinjuku, if you have to.

If you can plan according with a smaller day bag, you can send your large suitcase from the airport and it will arrive at your hotel the next day:

Should cost around 1500 - 1800 yen per bag, but very convenient....

Also, not sure what your plan is, but it may be wise to start JR pass on another day and use the NEX direct, only 1500 yen. Of course this depends on your schedule and if there is another day you might be able to get better value from it.

Interesting post as we are also going to be doing the same thing. I looked at the skyline? My goodness it's difficult working out how to get from Narita to the hotel.

If you are a group of travelers, just ride a taxi from JR Shinjuku station. But Use Higashi-Shinjuku station to get around Tokyo.

It's really not that difficult to get from Narita to your hotel. NEX direct to Shinjuku, then short taxi ride.

Then as Nao said, use Higashi-Shinjuku station (maybe 5 minute walk) for getting around Tokyo and use http://www.hyperdia.com/ to plan your route. Or like Sammy said, pick a hotel closer to a station.

Yes, it's really as easy as ordering Big Mac and Cola at McDonalds, and not as nearly difficult as ordering Coffee Mocha Frappeccino Tall Size at Starbucks. Take JR Narita Express to Shinjuku then taxi.

Central Tokyo's wards are probably as big as a normal city and there are 23 of them. You just need to pick the right airport access to get to a specfic place in Central Tokyo.
