Rockpile wines

Where will I find the best examples of wines from the Rockpile AVA?

Any varietal is fair game.

I am familiar with Mauritson and Paradise Ridge....who else?

My favorite is Mauritson, but you can also find some at Stryker Sonoma and Carol Shelton, and St Francis I believe.

You might also like to try Seghesio's and Trecini's Rockpile Zins. But IMO no one compares to Mauritson re: that AVA.

I'm with you two- we LOVE the Mauritson wines from Rockpile, and that's what has made us wonder about others that produce from that AVA. Its just an "exploration" exercise to become more familiar with the producers. Its nice to know "who else will do" when you can't find your favorites on the wine list, ya know?

Thanks so much for responding- I was thinking this would be buried soon!

We were at Mauritson recently and they were all sold out of their Rockpile Zins. Hopefully they will have new releases when you visit.

In addition to those named above, an interesting place to taste some Rockpile wines is in Alameda. Both Rosenblum and Rockwall make some interesting wines from that AVA.
